GAP Connah S Quay FC secured a 2-1 home win over Penybont FC in the Cymru Premier. Goals from Jordan Hodkin and Shane Flynn were enough to claim the three points.
The victory keeps the Nomads in fourth place in the league table with 22 points from 10 games. They are now on a two-game winning run, with their recent form reading three wins, one draw and one loss from the last five matches.
Hodkin and Flynn, who also scored in the 3-0 win over Airbus UK a week earlier, were the decisive figures. The home side saw Callum West, Iwan Murray, Rhys Watson and James Oliver Jones all receive yellow cards during the contest.
Manager Neil Gibson made several changes during the game, bringing on Hussein Mohamed Mehasssab for Hodkin and introducing Conor James Partridge and Adam Mccoy among others. The result provides a solid platform ahead of a challenging next fixture away to league leaders The New Saints on October 31st.
